About the piece

Glorious Haze is my biggest ship painting yet, and it holds a special place in my heart. It was part of my June challenge where I attempted to paint one painting a day for 30 days. While I did start this painting beforehand, most of it was completed in one day.

Care

Avoid direct sunlight to prevent the painting’s premature deterioration.

Keep in a stable environment to prevent the canvas from expanding and contracting, which can lead to hairline cracks. Avoid hanging in near vicinity of fireplaces, radiators or air conditioners. Bathroom and kitchen are unsuitable due to the risk of high-moisture.

While the painting is varnished, keep in mind that the painting will naturally discolor over the next 30 to 50 years. A professional can safely remove the old varnish and re-varnish it as needed.
